Hey Bon, et al,
It scares me to read posts which show how deeply religious people
are about the Lucas/Schlemielburg church. Your mention of Hitch was a
glimmer of hope in a fundamentalist wilderness. And hey, I missed the
radio side of that phenomenon, which is perhaps why the TV show didn't
strike me as quite so sucky as it did you.
While the the west was clamoring to the temples to bow down to
those valley boys' high school sci-fi vision, I'm afraid I went to the
apostate's tabernacle and bowed down to Ridley Scott.
(I know, off-topic. But jeez, I couldn't resist a little
blaspheming).
